Occupation: Law Enforcement
Supervisor
Marital Status: Committed Relationship
No. of Children: 1
From Pam: I worked for Seafirst Bank/Bank of America for 10+ years. First as a superivisor in their computer center and then at the main branch in Yakima. I left the bank in March of 1987 and took the rest of the year off. In December 1987 I went to work for the Yakima County Sheriff's Office as a Dispatcher in the Communications Division. Silly me, thinking that was not enough, I decided I wanted to move up in the ranks. In February 2000 I was promoted to Communications Supervisor. I have enjoyed working in Law Enforcement and can not think of a career I would enjoy as much. As much as I have enjoyed the excitement of my job, I am looking forward to retirement. Not that I am counting but I can retire with full benefits in 14 1/2 months. (Jan 1st 2009)
I have one son, Todd Clark, 37 yoa. Todd lives in Stevensville, Mt (just south of Missoula) He is the Director of Engineering for 7 Clear Channel radio stations in the Missoula area. He also has his own contracting company which does consulting for 7 stations in Kalispell. Small world that it is, he met Randy Pugsley at an engineers meeting a few years ago. As if he was not busy enough with the stations, a couple years ago he decided he wanted to get his pilots license. Now on the weekends he manages a flight service in Hamilton, Mt.
I also have a wonderful grandson, Ahren, 11 yoa, who lives in Yakima with his mother, stepfather and little sister. Ahren is in the 6th grade at West Valley Middle School. He stays busy with football and playing the trumpet.
My significant other, Mike Jones,is a 1964 graduate of Toppenish High School. He trains race horses and since Yakima Meadows closed a few years ago we maintain a long distance relationship. 6 months of the year he trains at Emerald Downs in Auburn and 6 months at Portland Meadows. I look forward to retirement so we can be together more than just my days off and vacatons.
I enjoy traveling and had the privelege of touring Europe with my parents in 1985. I also enjoy going to Kauai every few years. Love to fish and find just being on or near the water is extremely relaxing.
Due to 6 major surgeries over the past few years I now set off the bells and whistles when I go through security at airports !!
I am trying to find a now picture to submit but have not found one yet that would not damage the website !!
Looking forward to seeing many of you at the reunion.

Birthday: May 10, 1949
Occupation: Registered Nurse
Marital Status: Committed Relationship
No. of Children: 1
From Gay: What have I been doing all these years?............
I have been a registered nurse for 37 years, 20 of those years managing the department of Infection Control at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. This Spring, after dealing with cervical back pain for months, I stepped down as manager and am now working 32 hours a week as staff nurse in infection control. I can already feel the weight off my shoulders!!
Music is still an important part of my life. I play the piano more frequently these days. I have a "volunteer" job as pianist at my church. I am having a lot of fun playing more contempory music with a backup band!
I am engaged to Rick Fairbrook, a 1967 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Rick and I plan to get married June 25, 2010.
My only child, Wendy, is now 24 years old and works as a graphic design artist for a restaurant company in Portland, Oregon. Wendy plans to spend 3 months in England this year, exploring and visiting "new found" paternal family.

Regarding the "then" photo: Hey Phil Gray, that's a clever way to lure a girl onto your lap

Marital Status: Married
From Steve: Forty years later I am happily married, retired and living in Washougal Washington. I have a daughter from my first marriage, Jennifer who lives in Seattle. Career wise I worked in broadcast television, film and video production and went on to specialize in post production. Post production is the editing, special effects, film transfer, audio sweetening, and ect, part of making a film or video. At this point of this bio I should switch from using “I” to “we”, in 1981 while working at Channel 2 in Portland I met Margaret. Besides from becoming my wife, we also worked together, starting at Channel 2, continuing as an editor/asst. editor combo. Finally we ended up running our own post production company, DownStream in Portland. It was really a fun time to be working in broadcast TV and post production, we went from working with tons of extremely expensive and difficult to operate post production gear on through a relatively easy process accomplished on a PC. Owning our own company was all consuming, in 2000 the companies’ we were involved with (Tyee & DownStream) sold. I went from almost always working to not working, Margaret went back to school and is now a forth grade teacher. We have done a fair amount of traveling; we also spend a lot a time with friends and family at our cabin in central Oregon.

No. of Children: 4
From Kris: It has been great to read the bios from all our classmates! Thanks to Gay, Lyle and the entire planning committee for their work to make this web site and reunion happen in 2007!
I have been very blessed with good health and a wonderful husband of 39 years. We have four grown children Bryce, Brandon, Tally and Terra. Three presently work in technology in Portland, Olympia and Bellevue. Tally is Coordinator for English Language Learners in Quincy, WA. All are married as of just this last weekend. We celebrated Brandon's wedding in Olympia. We also have 6 beautiful grandchildren ages six and under. So our family events are truly fun filled!
We really enjoy our cabin in the Cascade Mountains where we go wood cutting, sledding, snowmobiling and entertain family and friends. We also enjoy traveling on our vacation times.
As for work... I am not retired yet. I was a teacher for 12 years in the Selah School District where I claimed they paid me to have fun! Then we took a 5 year detour to Goldendale where I began administration as Principal of Goldendale Primary School. We returned to Yakima in 2004 where I was Principal of Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary for the past three years. Now I am working in a new position as Director of Elementary Education for the Yakima School District. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve so many children and families in my career.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion and extend an invitation to you for brunch at our home that Saturday morning. My husband, Don, is ready to cook!

Occupation: Wholesale Grocery
Distribution
Marital Status: Divorced
From Richard: Well it's been 10 years and I'm still divorced. I just don't understand it. I bathe once a month and I just brushed my teeth last week. So what's wrong with me? Anyway, I'm still waiting to hear from Miss January or Miss February, March, heck any Miss Month will do. I'm not picky. Many years ago I told myself I was never going to grow up. Well it worked. My friends and most of you who remember me from our past reunions know that I'm no stranger to having a drink or 10. Well I realized I'd spent 30 years living a life of excess and abuse, with only a brief 4 year stint as a husband to slow me down some. Having survived all that time, but with numerous close calls, I knew I couldn't continue that pace without my luck running out. So finally I decided to give it a rest, permanently, and I quit in March of 98'. Though I must admit I certainly enjoyed myself during that period. I do regret wasting my potential to accomplish so much more with my life. Having a family would have been nice. What I can say is that getting straight has been a significant achievement for me for which I'm proud of. So I'm sorry but you are just going to have to put up with me sober this year. Now if only Miss October would call. Wait, is that my phone ringing? Yes!
Picture Quiz: Did I just step out of the shower or am I going swimming? See, I still haven't grown up. See you all Friday.

Occupation: Farming
Marital Status: Married
No. of Children: 1
From Camille: Wow - It's amazing how time flies!! Forty years, seems like yesterday we just graduated. Thanks to Lyle and Company for the great website. It's been really fun reading all the bios.
This will be a short story. After graduating, I attended Business College and went to work in banking and finance. I do not have a BS, MS or Doctorate. But, I do have an incredible amount of life experience. In the first 12 years, I was married and divorced once or maybe twice. I moved to Seattle in the mid seventies with the company I was working for Rainier Bank. In Seattle, I spent more time improving my education by attending North Seattle Community College.
In 1982, I went to work for an insurance company in mid management. I spent the next ten years working there, eventually buying a nice house in Lake Forest Park and several horses. At this point I was doing well and was determined not to marry again. However in 1991, I was blindsided by this wonderful person, that I am now married to Stephen Smith. We farm fifty acres together in the Lower Valley of pears, apples and cherries. I love farming, but have found it is like gambling - I think it would be more fun to lose in Las Vegas!!
Our daughter graduated from Western with a degree in journalism and public relations. She is happily married, living and working in the Seattle area.
Outside of farming, my husband and I do a lot of skiing in the winter. And, when I have time, I still ride occasionally.
My husband and I both have prior committments on the weekend of the reunion. However, I am going to try to make it to the Friday night function at Russillo's.
Look forward to seeing you all then.

Occupation: painter
Marital Status: Single
No. of Children: 3
From robert: I swear I am NOT 40 years later..feel like 40....as you all know i was sentenced to prison for awhile. In there I developed some extraordinary skills ...and was soon approached by some greycoats , ( from langley) They asked me to get involved ( a dale carnegy phrase) in some projects overseas. Long story short with lots of blacked out words...I have just retired from undercover work in the middle east. Actually had Bin Laden is my sights once, but The Clinton admistration said " not today" so I let him go. Sorry...nah, joking, i woulda anyway! Hey woowza, been a fast 40... I went to seattle to seattle community for a few years then married Carla Laughlin. We moved ( kindof hippies nomadic stuff) to packwood where I logged. Then to Medford ore for a year( logged there too), then san Fran for a year( started painting there). Got in on lotsa concerts partys and stuff! Yeah ,Doug Akey lived with us, remember Red Mountain wine and Big Sur. Then We took off to travel the world for almost 2 years. Europe, Turkey, Iran, afganistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal stuff like that. Wouldn't want to try THAT now! After traveling that long you really want to come home, and we greatly appreciated America, the land of tremendous opportunity and freedoms. Before that we were kindof like hippie brats, protesting weird things and anticapatalist. So I went from not working lifestyle to starting my own business and not taking a vacation for 10 years. OCB or what!We settled in Yakima and had 3 boys, now 33, 31, 27...Justin Dillon, and keagan. I became a painter ( of houses) and started my business " PaintSmith Co. in 1973. I was really poor for a while! Beem working at that profession for 34 years now. Went banko in 1988 and started over a year later , trending into more of a commercial painter. We paint some hotels and Indian casinos now and then. My sons Justin and Keagan run the Seattle operation. I love what I do and think I'll retire in 10 more years...unless the boys kick me out! Actually I took 63 days off last year...like to travel especially to Costa Rica. I bought a place on the beach there 9 years ago, in case I go banko again I can run a way and hide out.Going to Thailand this febuary with two couples to check that out. I've Been divorced twice and presently have a relationship with a hungarian peasant gal, Ilona. You'l meet her, very sweet capable was raised on a farm so knows how to handle animals well ( me) . She says I'm high maintance, I say I don't get high anymore, what you talking about? I am kinda hooked on ROCKSTAR lately. really good stuff...lotsa vitamins and stuff. Helps with the spanish lessons...REALLY looking forward to seeing you'all.
